Maisonneuve Market

Located in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough and open summer and winter, the Maisonneuve Market opened its doors in the early 20th century, in a majestic stone building. A large number of farmers, grocers, butchers and fishmongers worked there for almost half a century. Closed by the municipality in the 1960s, it was thanks to the perseverance of local residents that the Maisonneuve Market was revived in 1980. It took another fifteen years for the market to be revived in a new building, just a few steps away from the old one.
At Maisonneuve Market, you'll find only specialists in their products, committed to offering you fresh, quality produce all year round. Don't hesitate to ask your shopkeepers for their invaluable advice, and sample their new arrivals.
During the summer season, the market welcomes new market gardeners as well as a wide variety of flowers and herbs that will immerse you in an atmosphere rich in the scent of herbs and other typical market smells. Saturdays from May to October are also transformed into a musical gourmet rendezvous with a lively outdoor area and delicious food offerings.
