Corn Ketchup

This harvest season, the Montreal Public Markets are offering you some original and tasty recipes using seasonal vegetables!
Ingredients
For 3 x 500 ml jars
- 1/2 cup onions
- 1 cup celery
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbsp. mustard seeds
- 1/2 green pepper + 1/2 red pepper (1 cup)
- 1 1/2 tbsp. coarse salt
- 1 tbsp. celery seeds
Other ingredients
- 1 1/2 tbsp. mustard powder
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tbsp. turmeric powder
Preparation
- Combine ingredients of marinade in a pot and cook over medium heat, for 10 min.
- Mix in a bowl the other ingredients then add to the pot.
- Cook and stir until thickened, for 10 min.
